Pressler: "End the Two Month Debate Blackout" - Pressler Pleads with Press to Sponsor More Debates

Sioux Falls, SD, September 24 2014 – “One of the major results of my recent statewide tour was an expressed desire on the part of many people for more debates among the US Senate candidates,” said Senator Larry Pressler. “I implore the South Dakota media to sponsor more, even if all four candidates do not accept.” Pressler praised KSFY TV in Sioux Falls for recently sponsoring a debate which they said would go forward even if only two persons participated – in fact, three did, Governor Rounds did not, and it was a very successful debate carried by CSPAN.

“There has been a blackout of debates in this campaign from August 29 until October 23. This is virtually a two-month blackout of debates right in the heart of the campaign.”
